Labor began to get pretty rough, so Jenni decided to request an epidural to alleviate the pain - it was well worth it!
Baby Evan was in a little bit of distress during the middle part of labor (his heart rate would keep going down with each contraction), so Jenni was given extra oxygen. Turned out that Evan had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, but all turned out good:)
Finally, 14 hours after Jenni's water broke - at 3:34 p.m. on December 21, 2009, our son, Evan Henry, arrived!!! He is the most handsome baby in the maternity unit!
